As if winter heard my relentless siren song, she arrived with gusto, blanketing the hillside as we watched from our bedroom window like giddy children eager to play.
Hurts my heart to read of such agony and pain for you Adele.
The paper chain is beautiful and I love imagining you, using your incredible creative spirit to deck the halls, and create something beautiful like you have always done.
I understand so well what it means to just get from moment to moment. More than once in the past two and half years I have turned to Goethe’s line “I can’t go on. I’ll go on.” And I did. I went on. And while I am still struggling in many ways and still learning how to manage this new life, I am far out of those dark, desperate depths. It is so hard to always have faith that healing is happening and that recovery is possible, but I do believe it is. Go on. 🤍
Love your imagery in this entry. So beautiful from such a talented writer. I love each segment you write. This reminds me of the chain I made almost 32 years ago when I was in the Navy. Please keep writing your beautiful words.

Adele- Happy belated 50th birthday. And I agree: winter also has my heart. Though summer has my soul. 🙏
